If you’re looking for a getaway this winter I would suggest looking into Hawaii.
There is always something to do and something beautiful to see. There are tons of different plants, animals, trails and activities. We visited Waikiki on the island of Oahu and Maui.
Here are some photos from my grade 12 trip,
Red Sand beach
A view of Black Sand beach
Waterfall at the end of our hike through the Bamboo forest
Sunrise from the top of Haleakala, which is the highest point in Maui
Seven hour hike through the Haleakala volcano
Haleakala volcano lined with Silverswords
Dolphin on our catamaran cruise
On the beach of “Pipeline” in Oahu. Big surf spot!
Met some friends.
Watching the surfers at Pipeline beach. There was a “surf at your own risk” sign in the water because of heavy undertows
Twin Falls on the Road to Hana
Didn’t identify this one
In a cave at one of the black sand beaches
One of many seals at Red Sand beach
A huge Banyan tree in the Bamboo forest
I think this was Haleakala from the road
Haleakala volcano just after sunrise… This was a 7 hour hike!
The sunrise from the top of Haleakala
Above clouds during our hike through Haleakala.. We eventually hiked through them.
Whales during our catamaran cruise
One of the two luaus we attended!
If you’re seriously considering Hawaii, I highly recommend it.
