The holidays will definitely be here before you know it, which means people are going to start to put up their Christmas trees soon! However, this raises a question of whether buying a real or a fake tree is better for the environment.
According to weather.com (Click here for the article), you should use an artificial tree only if you are going to use it for more than ten years. However, if you buy a new artificial tree every couple of years, then you should purchase a real tree for Christmas. This benefits the environment because a real tree can be recycled and is biodegradable. However, a fake tree has plastics and metals that are unfortunately not easily recycled.
I also found this interesting youtube video that outlines whether you should buy a real or a fake Christmas tree. You can click here to watch it!
