No new environmental goals for Canada, despite U.S.-China deal, Ottawa says

Last week I watched a segment of The West Block on Global News titled -No new environmental goals for Canada, despite U.S.-China deal, Ottawa says.  Collin Carrie, Parliamentary Secretary for the Minister of the Environment, tells Tom Clark how the government of Canada will not commit to targets with regard to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions like the United States and China have done in the past weeks. China and the US have committed to reduction of 26-28% by 2025.  Tom Clark goes on to mention that in a 2013 report by Environment Canada  it was noted that Canada is not on track to make its target to reduce greenhouse gases to 17 per cent of 2005 levels by 2020 and will miss this target by about 20%.

I highly suggest watching this video for the full interview,  very captivating!
