How Snowflakes Form

Winter is coming! We have already experienced snow and freezing weather. Although snow can be dangerous, mucky and wet, it is also beautiful. Although it is hard to prove this, there is a theory that every snowflake is unique. Due to the sensitive nature of snowflake formation, there is lots of variation from one snowflake to the next. The shape of a snowflake is dependent on: temperature, humidity and amount of water available. Watch this amazing time lapse of tiny water particles freezing into beautiful crystals.
