Welcome to the Applied Plant Ecology blog (#Biol4095) at York University

2014-07-27 06.49.32This is a place where students can post comments, thoughts,  storified tweets, summaries of articles read etc. Every student will post at least 4 times. You are allowed to double dip, by embedding your tweets and your links in them.

It’s public, so you can show it to your family and friends.

I’m kicking off with a photo of a slug that I observed grazing on lichens on the rocks of Georgian Bay this summer. When I got home from vacation, I identified the slug and discovered that it’s a non-native species, Arion subfuscus. There has been some (not much) research, including a paper raising its possible impacts on rare Canadian lichens.
